Hi,

I've compiled a list of sites with FX samples on them. I couldn't see a list in the FAQ or Wiki- so now I will be told it's there!

If you know of more, please add to it, because it's odds on that I've missed the obvious ones.

My experience is that these ones don't have much link rot happening; hey, it's a natural process!  ;)

I like having access to sample for two reasons-

1. I don't have much time to put into my hobby, so I don't want to churn out pedal after pedal that's not near what I want for my sound; I'd rather spend my minutes tweaking one that is
and
2. Is that what it's supposed to sound like?

In no particular order:

RunOffGroove and Home Wrecker
Basicaudio's site
Randall Barnett's site
Stellan's schematics site
Tim E's Circuit Snippets
GTech Blues site
To The Max
Fatboy Effects - sounds
Charlie Lamm
topopiccione electronics
Tone Frenzy
Moosapotamus
the gallery pages on Aron's site

and throwing it in for no real reason

Harmony Central's Effects Explained

Are there any more?

Many thanks,

DD

Thanks for that one - I had no idea of that site and all the info on it, so humblest apologies.  :icon_confused:

(Aren't the Dano Fabs getting a run at the moment!)

Thanks to Andrew for contributing as well.

And I will correct myself- there is a small area in the wiki. If someone wants to use this, knock yourself out.

if you mean diy-stompbox sound clips... you guys said pretty much of it...

well, www.bosscorp.co.jp has some demos for their products...
Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

I added this list of sound clip pages to the Wiki under the reference material" heading
Thanks folks!

Here is the link to my sound samples website.  The link at the top goes to the BasicAudio site.  I'll be finishing and adding samples to it real soon.
