^  :icon_eek:  ivory frets...

cheers guys,

@jim: cheers man, yeah i love a floyd trem, i never got on with strat style trems, no matter what i did,

even on my crapocaster i stuck a cheap knock off floyd on it, locked it off ,  swapped the crappy slidey nut for a locking nut...

never goes out at all, and i abuse the f.. out it,

i think everyone should have a guitar they don't really give a toss about.... knocking, leaning, scratching etc etc...

its funny, the cheapo guitars you don't have to be 'precious' with i find are always the most used/comfortable/and go on for years with no hag...

i take mine camping, it suffers overnight damp, gets left in the sun, covered in smoke , dropped, covered in beer...

abused by 'can i have a go'ers '  (until they realise its a lefty ) but its always bang on... 8)...long live the non-respecto guitar.. :icon_twisted:

here she is just after painting/modding...its a sh*tto old encore...have swapped the hummer now for a white open one, (bit more bite)

I hope you don't plan on abusing that one, DA. It might be simple or even plain in appearance, but I think it's beautiful. Nice work!

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

deadastronaut

that is my abused one... :)

still looks and plays nice..

My new slab of stringed joy! It's an Electrical Guitar Company DC Standard with a few custom bits and bobs on. All aluminium, all the time! Sounds fantastic, so much depth and body but attack and clarity as well, for me it's the best blend of a Les Paul and Tele and works great with my low tuning (Bb standard). I was apprehensive after waiting a fair while for it but it genuinely has surpassed my expectations, I bloody love it!

Anyway here's a random collection of pics;

Put some new knobs on;

I use a 7 string set without the high E so it's 13-60 basically, I like a fairly high tension though so wouldn't necessarily have to have them that heavy.

Hope you enjoy your 7 string dude, plug in and doom out! \m/  :icon_evil: \m/

Nice!  I didn't know there was anybody making the Travis Bean-ish guitars these days.  That's a really cool guitar.

I used D'Addario Chromes 13-56 on my jaguar and mustangs.  The jag is DADGCF low to high sometimes the low dropped to C with a capo on the first fret, the 72 mustang is basically my backup for that guitar and my 66 mustang is CGDACF.  If I could find a flatwound (that aren't $25 Thomastiks, even though they're great strings) set with a 60 on the bottom I would be so much happier!
New and exciting innovations in current technology!

Bone is in the fingers.

GOt a Cervantes Milenia PE a month or so ago. It's based on a design by Thomas Humphrey with a raised fingerboard and lattice bracing.

Looks really nice Jeremy! Does it have a radiused fretboard, the saddle looks to be radiused?

And where you been hiding, long time gone?

I have been away a while eh? I never knew how much time a full time job requires. It's like 1/3 of my life is gone. At least I like what I'm doing.

The fret board isn't radiused, but the saddle is a bit. I dig the 12 hole bridge. Fun to restring.

Very nice, Jeremy.

Here's a placeholder for the 50th birthday present I ordered yeaterday:

Went and visited Martin Petersen in Camden and spent a joyous four hours picking out some gorgeous woods.  Now I just have to be very patient and wait many months for the thing to be finished...

I use cheapies too and I acutally love loaning them to people and seeing what kind of tones they get out of my rig, not to mention the abuse they give it, wears it "in" more than I can, I like natuarally abused guitar, none of that fake relic stuff for me

^ok, here ya go...

my new 7 string bitch.  :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:

i took the risk for £150.00 to get a chinese (chibanez) guy to make me this, (he even offered to do it any colour too :icon_cool:) but i just wanted him to concentrate on getting it just built nice, without the fannying around of colours etc...

and he has done a fantastic job on it, the neck is perfect, frets , everything is pukka!...

the trem i have locked off, as its obviously not a floyd, but remarkably good for a knock off..

all the pups are pretty cool, (however i managed to get a 7 string ibanez bridge pup from a guy breaking one for parts for £20.00  :icon_cool:)

so she will have a little operation later today, and she will bite that bit more... :icon_twisted:

paint, abalone, banding , finish etc..perfecto....i'm a very happy bunny indeed...

man its lovely hhaving that low end B for doom etc, but its just great adding bass notes to chords when clean too, a very FULL sound ..

so my report is..absolutely well worth the risk. 8)

(i had to pay £34.00 to customs, but f... it,  so in total this baby cost £184.00 all in... (+£20.00 for a great pup)

and here she is.. (moody phone pics)

yeah man...i love it. 8)

after today's surgery she'll be 100%,

they must not be used to making lefties, my vol control is normal, but the tone is backwards..

but i shall be flipping my vol backwards too..its just better for pinky use for faux trems , swells etc..(i prefer to push than pull)
