There are actually two slightly different versions of the Dynaflanger -- but both of them sound great.

Look at this:

Then read the explanation of the frequency detector which the designer kindly gave in detail here:

and then consider how it could be used. In addition the fast peak detector might be useful in a guitar triggered sweep generator, where the peak voltage is sampled and used for the top end of the Start Frequency pot a la EH Microsynth - and the decay is controlled separately from the decay of the guitar note, as I have speculated before - and of course no ripple.
