Hi frinds,
Just finished a TubeReactor (hotbox mod by Bancika) and
a LM3886 power. The TubeReactor sounds amazing but the
output is not so loud connected direct to power. I think that
I need a volume booster after the tube reactor and before
LM3886 to get full power amp volume. Any suggestion for
doing it with a circuit that doen't change the tube sound?

Thanks

Well I think you might have a different problem because the LM3886 has an input sencitivity of just under 1v for a Gain of 20 and lower for higher Gains so your Tube stage should have plenty of Drive to get the LM3886 at Full Volume (50w into 8Ohms)......

If you were to add a Volume booster I would add it before the Tube stage so you can overdrive the tube to get a Good Crunchy sound....a Volume booster can be as simple as adding a Opamp or even a simple Transistor or Fet Gain stage.....There are a Lot of Booster curcuits on this site any of which can add a good clean boost to you signal.....

I use a LM3886 Based Guitar amp that I built and designed and I have it set up with several different Gain stages consisting of Transistors ,Fets and Opamps with Clipping diodes and have them set up so I can enable or disable/Bypass the stages to I can customize my tone.....

I got sound from the amp, but dont think its the full volume
because its a little lower in compare to my TDA2050 amp
(30watts) that uses a tonemender preamp.

I will try something with Fetzer Valve. I said after the tube
preamo cause its already a  higain, dont need more drive.

Thanks.
