A good album title!

Built this one and @ 8 o'clock on the volume it is dog barking time. Can there be value to swap to pull this output back a bit?

Circuit is here: http://aronnelson.com/gallery/album76/Highway_89_LAYOUT_b

Thanks

More voltage=more headroom, less voltage less headroom. Though I don't know how much voltage you could lower. Maybe you could try with the "dying battery simulator" theres info on that at GEO ;)

Bye bye

hope it helps

if you mean the overall output, you could try a smaller value vol pot, say 250k, or 100k.  if you mean gain/dist, it's built to be a high gain rocker so something must be wrong w/ yours.

I have tried a 100K Pot and it still can blow up an amp!

Funny about the low voltage, I tried a dying 9v and it still is over the top. The gain and tone all adjust fine.

It's the Volume knob that spikes at 8-9 o'clock.

I figure that there must be something up with my values in the build, but i built two of them and they are both lethal.

Any suggestions?

try an audio taper pot. The pot 'action' won't be all bunched up in the lower region.

Thanks ED,

I was also wondering about increasing the R-16 or the C-12+13.

Thoughts?
