Hey, i am making a op-amp muff fuzz (my first guitar effect pedal), on perf board and i was wondering why it is so hard to get the solider to stick to the tracks. I have solidered pcb's (non guitar effect stuff) etc and they seamed really easy to solider compared to perfboard.

What is up with that? Are some perfboards not tinned or something?

Thanks
Daniel

If it is copper colored, then it isn't tinned. And you might want to abrade it until it is shiny (I use a hard metal brush). Don't use steel wool, because the pesky bits of steel wool will get everywhere & short stuff.

well, i don't think it is coloured copper, i have solidered it all up now anyway. (it doesn't work see below)

Does anyone know if my LM072 IC will be alright if it is installed in reverse? I think i will need a new one.

Thanks
Daniel
