Tone God's 'Wicked Switches' -leaving out the LED?

I have a non-true bypass pedal that uses a DPDT stompswitch, but I'd like to incorporate it into a remote switching system I've been working on using one of Tone God's Wicked Switches:
http://www.geocities.com/thetonegod/switches/switches.html -in particular, the one at the very bottom.

Since the pedal I'm using already has the LED indicator worked into the bypass circuit it features, I was thinking I could just directly transfer the original DPDT wiring configuration to the 4066 in the Wicked Switch.  So, if I wanted to leave out the Wicked Switch LED, would I just omit the resistor, LED, and NAND Gate attached to Vs?

Would I be crazy not to just wire the existing effect permanently on and use the Wicked Switch in its entirety?
