I haven't had much luck with the Jfet amp emulations and have about decided all my Jfets must be bad.  Set at 4.5V they tend to have an overcompressed, muffled, winey, farting sound.  With the Thor, I have to set the 2nd Jfet at about 2V in order to get a good sound.  This cuts the gain quit a bit and I have tried 1/2 a dozen different J201's, J202's and NTE 458.  I realize high gain is not the point of the Thor, but does anyone else have this problem?   :icon_cool:

Weird indeed.
Unless your working place's atmosphere secretly sucks down the battery to 4 Volts?  ;D
