Ok I was thinkng I could really do with a signal generator it would help a great deal especially when using my scope, I'd almost say it was mandatory requirement.

So I look on ebay for something cheap, think again nothing on there in the UK thats anywhere near a good deal.  SO wondering would it be feasable to build something?  I am sure some of you guys in here have come up against this and probably built something

Ideas or links for schems appreciated

If all you want to do is inject a signal into a circuit to audio probe it or trace the signal with your scope then this is pretty simple http://www.geofex.com/FX_images/q+dosc.gif.

Yep. This is what I did until I found a $25 unit on ebay...I just built it in a box w/a 1/4" jack and plugged it into whatever...worked fine...

Hmmm how did I miss that, I have trawled RG's site so many times.  Extremely simple.  I would ideally like something a little more versatile in the long run with a few bells and whistles but for now I will build it up :)
