My all time favourite is simply The Big Muff
(look closer at the esthetics of that pedal...)
Anyone know what the PI symbol stands for and why it is there ?

mine would probably be Tone Bender, just sounds cool to me, oh my brothers
the stupidiest name ive seen would have to be Dr. Boogie, stupid name for a pedal methinks
ill call mine Dual Rectifier, that sounds real horrorshow

Just about every pedal born on my work bench. Some include:


Big Muff Rams Head, allegedly David Gilmour's version, obviously then had to be the Big Pink Muff, with a loose representation of a Pink Ram's Head on it.. Well, sort of. Ish. Maybe.
BS+ (which could be Boutique Screamer+ or...)- TS808 with all the mods, tone stack, clippers, booster.
Another TS with the bells and whistles was the Hype-O-Drive (with extra mojo)
Governator- Guvnor with clipping options, etc. And one, glowing red LED....
Ran.Ge.Mojo- Rangemaster clone
fette Ratte- a Rat with FETs for clippers- it's also German for fat Rat, that I thought it was a nice play.

and to prove that yes, sometime's it's best not to name your pedals when you're tired-

STRATOBLASTER sounds funny to my ears...It seems a sci-fi weapon...
Also the SUPER HARD ON can be quite funny for you english speaking...

My fav. is VALVECASTER - It's classy...It has style...

Other funny names for my pedals are:
- The Bundler tube driver (between the chandler and the Butler)
- the pkzip compressor
- The purple tremolosaurus (ea tremolo with a pink T rex, a la Barney with testosterone)
- Nazca Pets (phaser-tremolo combo)
- Burning crunch (well i wanted to mean burning crouch)
- Muff diver ..you know...
- Hanta mouse (rat)
- Drooling retard (rebote with lfo..had Bush pic on the enclosure)
- Ye old capitain Tuna Boost (a fet boost in a tuna can, with simpson´s capitain fake brand of tuna)

i love naming pedals, is one of my favorite parts

When we're on the subject, my recent booster design called "Full Pupp Booster", directly translates into Loaded Boob Booster... I even drew the "pupp" with a marker penn. Just to make this thread even more mature...

I really like the name "Burninator" for some reason. I wish I could give credit to the forum member who used it, but I can't remember. I believe the Burninator was a character from homestarrunner? Burninator... lol...
