The Danelectro Fab Metal is the same pedal almost but with only the treble pot(the mid and lows are preset).

And it's dirt cheap.

The original Danelectro Fab Tone distortion in the large metal case gets a really rippin' metal tone that has some of that same kind of super-hyped filtering that the Metal Zone has.
