I got these small boxes for buffer-builds and have been iching to put something 'else' in one.  I had to be careful, but it's all in there and sounds great - a single-transistor, dirty boost (sounds great boosting another OD):

I forgot to upload the photos of the top/outside - it only has a 3PDT switch button and LED on the top, with input jack & single knobage on the right side (looking down) and output/9V jack on the opposite side.  I was forced to cut away/'sculpt' the plastic jack enclosures - this pic was taken while still in the "where am I going to put this?" stage.

Cool!

Do you have any pics of the finished pedal?
What's it sound like?

What I built was essentially an Electra Overdrive - I started with Dano @ Beavis Audio's Trotsky Drive (http://www.beavisaudio.com/Projects/TrotskyDrive/Trotsky_Build_Guide_1_4.pdf) (which is very similar to the Electra) and built a few of those:

At some point, I wanted to build something into the smaller enclosure (cute factor maybe) and built the same thing, but was forced to leave off the bright switch and the bias/gain - I preset both and installed a volume knob only.  I really like the full build, but the small one is fun - just more limited.

http://www.indyguitarist.com/torchy/Distortion_Overdrive/Electra%20Distortion/Electra.gif  - this link is to Torchy's layout of the Electra (via Wampcat's site; thank you both) - you can easliy use this layout (or another found in the gallery here) and alter what you need to build the Trotsky Drive.

MartyMart's circuit is the Tube Reamer from Run Off Groove - they have a full build tutorial here:

Hope this is helpful.

Yeah - PPP is a good resource for them.  I can't rem where I got these at (I've had them for a bit).

Too, I dig the 1590A for a 'too slim' builds.  Fun.
