Hi,

I have a '70's Phase 90 that I would like to wire true bypass into. It doesn't kill my tone, but I can definitely detect a difference when it is not patched in. That compounded with the fact that the original switch is starting to fail... as long as I am replacing the switch... may as well do the bypass. If someone has a diagram or pic, that would be best.. but I am savvy enough to do it with just directions.

The problem I am having is I cannot determine which wire are the input and output. If i knew that, the rest is cake. can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

KRH

I personally wouldnt go messing with a pedal thats that old and worth a few £'s.  build a clone with TB and keep the 90 safe

I already performed the mod on my '68 Vox Wah, with great result (found a diagram on the web). The Phase Mod cannot be any more difficult... I just need to know which wire is which.

UPDATE - Mission accomplished. I used the current wiring to determine which wire did what. rewired it for TB with a Carling 316-PP and it works great. Sounds better when turned off and actually better on, the old switch was on it's way out and was having a negative effect on the sound. Feel free to contact me if you need help with this.
