Which Wah Shell?

I am looking to buy a wah to gut and re-build ... Is there a difference between getting the Vox or Crybaby? My Concern is not really the shell but the sweep........... Is there a difference in how far the sweep is on these?  is there a limitation?  Is that something that can be modded on any wah?  Thanks in advance for any input

As far as I know, in terms of the mechanics inside the Vox and CryBaby wahs, there are no differences. The "sweep distance" should be the same in either one.
