I've built up a Gagan Tone Dog from the vero layout in the gallery.  I'm getting some signal, but it's just sputtery mis biased fuzz sounding.  Any ideas?  Anyone have voltage readings?

Thanks.

Has anyone built the Tone Dog circuit?

John Lyons

You should be getting around 4.5 volts at the collector I would think.
What voltages do you get now?

Hi John, how goes it?
actually the second stage of the tonedog is just a rangemaster so it sits nicely at -6.3 to -7.1 v as noted in RG's article on the RM.
the tonedog is simply a bipolar buff feeding a rangemaster, with some clipping diodes for fun at the end.
my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.

Hey Joe, haven't seen you around for a while. Hope things are good with you...

Thanks for the clarification on the circuit. I wasn't sure what it was but now I see it looking at the circuit.
