I built an RM Spitfire/Mongoose on Vero today using the layout in Marty Mart's Gallery.  Sounds pretty good!

I socketed the tranny, diodes, compensation cap, and output cap so I could convert it into a Mongoose, but I was wondering how different the two circuits actually sound.  I assume the larger output cap on the Mongoose gives a some more low end, but otherwise it's really just the difference between the 741 I used for the Spitfire and the LM308 (and compensation cap).  Is it that big of a difference, or will a larger output cap on the the Spitfire accomplish the same thing?
