Tremulus Lune Tonepad question

I've read all the threads in this forum and scoured both the Commonsound forum and Tonepad's build reports and couldn't find an answer to this, so....I'm building the Tremulus Lune from the Tonepad RTS PCB and have been comparing the layout with the one from Commonsound. My question is: In the Commonsound parts list and on their PCB, it calls for a 7809 Voltage Regulator if the pedal is going to be used with a power adapter. Is the regulator needed with the Tonepad layout also? There is no mention in the parts list and no spot on the PCB for it, so I'm wondering if this only refers to the Commonsound layout. Any help would be appreciated.

I built the Tonepad version. I didn't need any regulator and I run off an adapter.

Thanks Sonic, that's what I was thinking, but I wanted to be sure. I wasn't sure if the LED/LDR need special power requirements, so I wanted to double check.
