rare to see a battery in a 1590a build! (:

but then i guess you couldn't fit the DC sock too... or could you...? go on (:

DC socket? I could, right at the end at the tip of the input jack. I don't have a need for one (yet), but I made sure I had room for one if needed.

I'm starting to think like a smartass... I'm thinking I could fit a DS-1 in an "A" with a battery, lol. If I can manage that, I guess I have to make another "A" box wah and go for a univibe, right? no battery, though, lmao... although a couple 12V's... nah.

Noooo, they can't be small, I thru a Superfly into one, no problem. But wait, you could be right, I didn't manage to squeeze a battery in there ;)

Almost, it's USB powered  :icon_eek:

No, not really, but you can use the tone control to dial in the right tone.

Tell me about it!  I instantly regretted ordering four of them the moment I opened the package, and wondered what the four slightly-oversized pencil sharpeners were...

Then I built three pedals (so far) - cursed often along the way for having so little room for manoeuvre - and went and ordered another four!

hey, putting a 9V battery inside a 1590a enclosure (with a switch and a circuit too  of course :icon_lol:) is definitely possible but very hard.
I did it but in the end I asked myself: why all this pain and effort?

Anyway you need the right circuit. Earthscum one chip drive is something I have to try out for this purpose.

By the way, check out ews little brute drive (I don't know if I remembre the name correctly) a full overdrive distortion with ac adaptor and a 9V battery inside, it is a very clean job.

Galego

I was asked to do something to lower the volume. So i built a buffer with a volume control:

Oh, now I know why this felt like cheating  :icon_redface:

Edit: When saying that in a sniggering voice it feels so sad that the second PCB ("under" the visible one) doesn't show on this image.
