:-\ and not in parallel either geniuses.one has to drive the other.need that metal sound w/the tube clearity(for the clueless this is how SRV got his tone). any layout-diagrams would be very helpful.thx T

What do you mean by paralell? ??? Why don't you just put them in their own boxes and patch them up switch them on together as siamese and blow a fuse...And then when you'll be old and don't need that metal sound no more you'll be able to sell one and keep bluesing with the other. Just kidding! Ok maybe this link from drangonfly gallery would help...I'm not sure if i can do this...is it a repost when it's a link? Anyway, keep rocking! :icon_wink:

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

Idiot

How about two with one switch??? my foot's kinda big.

The French connection

Wow you must be tall :o maybe i must stop kidding! Ok, so you don't want to switch them on as you want? Ok just take the output of the first one and put it in the input of the other (just like if you use a patch...) and wire your switch as usual...i think it's gonna do the job.

It's never that simple.Still I'll probably try that and just trouble shoot from that.any who I think it only draws like 5.1V per board.I just don't want a 9V battery vampire.but thx anyway for your help.

Ouch!  80 posts and au revior? That's not what I'd call hangin' in there.

This is one of the best forums that you'll find on the internet. For every plea for help, you'll likely get 3-5 on topic, helpful answers. Sure, an occaisional condescending reply will show up, but that is usually the exception.  Unfortunately in this case, you got two.

It may have been more appropriate to point out that Idiot's post:
...it only draws like 5.1V per board...
makes no sense.  Each board will draw from the same 9V supply.  His reference to a 'battery eater' would would seem to indicate that he meant current consumption, not voltage. An easy mistake to make. Not counting the LED, maybe 5.1 mA is close for a TS - I don't know.

The link you posted was for a dual voltage (+9V and -9V) supply.  Probably not what you meant.  You may even have included the wrong link - I don't know.

I find it easier to think that people have good intentions, but may not always post what they meant to. It's better IMHO to simply point out obvious mistakes without kickin' any hiney...

If you want to build/modify/design effects, this is the place to be.  Most folks here will be more than willing to help you to the best of their ability. Take every post with a grain of salt to preserve your sanity.

Hope his au revoir is just a good night...
He waited "too long" on some topics and then took personally something he did not have to.
I'll try to speak to him in french. :icon_confused:

Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm talking about but I'm pretty sure a TS draws about 40mA current @ 9v. As for the original poster... what's wrong with just putting two boards in one box? Running the output of one into the input of another???? Just make sure you have a clean grounding scheme.

I think what he's looking for is the wiring diagram that shows the two boards connected, the jacks, the switch and the battery and power adapter.
