Gus/NPN boost made into treble booster?
« : April 08, 2008, 10:11:54 AM »

Hi All,
I built the booster a ways back, and now it's just sitting gathering dust.
I recently built an Orpheum Fuzz, and I would like to put a treble boost with it.
What would I have to do/change to acomplish this ? I've seen the range control mods for it, but I really just want the boost to be at a set volume, and tone. No knobs, just an on/off switch, and maybe an effect order switch to put it in front, or behind the fuzz.

Thanks!

Make the input cap smaller or make the 47uF cap smaller... much smaller.

Ok,
and would I just eliminate the 5k pot ?

Thanks!

Don't know why you would want to get rid of the pot, don't you ever tweak your settings?  A bedroom only setting is one thing, but for gigs in differing locations it would be kind of a necessity to be able to vary the boost settings.  Just something to think about.

Maybe replace the pot with a trim pot.

I'm adding the SWTC2 circuit from AMZ to my boost project.  The tone control acts as a treble boost without low end roll off.  I'm using the second version from the top for simplicity and to keep from messing with the amount of boost when the tone is adjusted.
