oh lordy.

Features an extra hole, a metal DC jack that I had to "insulate" with superglue and plastic from a stripped wire, and the wrong kind of clear coat, resulting in the paint washing out.

I ran across this the other day. I "built" this as a sustain foot switch for my sister-in-law's keyboard. This was way back before Al Gore had invented the Internet so my choice of parts was very limited. The four momentary switches are wired in parallel. The idea was to provide a larger surface area for the player's foot than one switch would provide. It worked until one of the switches stuck in the closed position.  :(

Almost, it runs off coal.  ;D

Its actually pretty versatile now, I can access all the trims easily to change repeat tone, length, etc... And when my foot is inaccurate, pushing the board down gently on the bottom yields some REALLY funky accidental modulation, not sure how but its pretty cool.

They're teaching you to go through life and get cheated.

CLean and beautiful. I used to have a box which I wired such that it had wires going out of the box and in again (I had isolation transformer outside bolted to the enclosure, some wires had sockets so you could think it as fx loop but sure there were some wires that could have been done inside. Other cool features was a switch labelled with that small Disney fairy, the switch made the magig happen, and "goes to 11" volume knob accidentally soldered reverse

I'll bet the bubble wrap was just to avoid killing the grass underneath.  ;D

Seriously, if smooth could make the outside look like the inside, that might not be bad.
