re: My Fuzz Fake Toy

Oh my.

That is ugly in several different ways.

The knobs, what happened they started locking the dumpsters.

The vomit with eyes thing was pretty impressive, but this thing. Is, uh ... yeah.

Hat's off.

i know the tin writes "Quaker" on it, but i see a fish on the side... what exactly was that before you fuzzed it up?

alex frias

A can full of "sardines" in eatable oil.

It's a SHO in a plastic box covered with aluminum tape for shielding.

that knob isn't safe from the aliens... maybe needs a tinfoil hat?   ;D

also love the aerodynamics of that 1/4" jack!

Mr. G.

I thought it was a nice touch, ha ha.  Made it a pain in the ass when I got ready to use the parts in another project, though.

Too bad you didn't use copper tape, cause that would have made it into a Burst Box or at least a Circuit Box With Burst Button.

Mr. G.

Well, under the right light it sort of can look like copper  :icon_lol:

beautiful!

looks like a hardwood floor after a hell of a party!  ;)

how'd you attach the caps? did you treat the pots to some fresh hacksaw + glue bath?

rousejeremy

Hot glue gun. They fell off every couple days. Good times.

I was in such a rush to show off my new build to my band mates I grabbed the nearest thing available to house the UF build.  Ascetically it looks like hell, but the circuit produces lots of scuzzy, spatty fuzz...

Brilliant. I did a hifi preamp on cardboard like that once. Tube sockets and everything power tranny and stuff was mounted to a board under the box. Fun stuff.
