Cardboard Tube Samurai

I am after a tremolo fuzz schematic/layout. I have tried Dragonfly's Whirlygig but found it just thumps too much. Are there any around that combine these two effects smoothly or without the "thump"?

work up the tremelo circuit, EA or Tremulous Lune or..
Put a Fuzz in front of it.
The lune is has a bit too much versatility to work with IME...not that it doesn't do nearly every possible trem-tone, just a bit heavy on the controls.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks Pete, I thought I might have to go down that road

Have a look at The Tone Gods Bullitt - all you really need for trem is the LFO and one tube - U2B and U3A - by making R15 a pot, say 250k or 500k, I think you should be able to make it go from clean to dirt. Consider putting a boost before the tube (LPB or Sparkle Boost) - you will drive the tube into distortion.
