Hey guys,

I'm having trouble finding the pinout for the NOS metal can version of the CA3080 opamp.  All I can seem to find is the DIP version.  Can anyone help me out with this?  Thanks.

One of my fave chips.

Pin 8 has a tab.

Looking from the top the pins go clockwise 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1.  :icon_cool:

What are you making with it?

There's a Datasheet with CA3080's metal can package. Bend the leads to match PDIP configuration (8 pin socket) and use a socket (left picture on the Data).

perfect.  that is exactly what I needed.  I bought 5 of them to build a small stone from the tonepad layout.  the only reason I got them was because, at the time I put in the big order, smallbear didn't have any of the DIP versions available.  Frankly though, I kinda like how they look.  Even though I know they probably don't sound any different than their DIP brothers, they give a cool vintage vibe to the visual aesthetic.
