small stone problem

hi just built the small stone from tonepad, the mods that i did were the r11 and r42 to 10k mods
the problem is that i dont get any phasing, only some kind of fast tremolo type effect when the pot is near max
when i turn the switch (which goes to the part with the capacitor) i dont get any volume loss, but when switched it has a volume drop
the difference in the tremolo type effect it produces between modes is the speed
i used ca3080, 2n5088 and 2n3906

  Someone commented: I don't know why they didn't just put a recovery stage at the end of these things.
  I used a JFet boost.
  That allows less fine tuning toward unity [above unity the feedback overtakes...] for stable phasing, and all the boost I care to want.
  To level' the modes, use a switch with 'extra' lugs [as mode select] and figure out a way to reduce the 'loud' setting?...either that or re-adjust boost volume when you use the switch.
