So, i was fixing the pots on my Strat, and since i was over near my gear i plugged my soldering iron right into my furman power conditioner. So im trying and trying and trying to get the solder to stick to the back of hte pot for the ground wire and its just not happening.

So i try and try and i have no idea whats going on. Then i realise that my cheapo radio shack iron isnt burning my hand like it usually does when i have it on that long. So i think about, and finally move over to a regular socket.

Voila. It got way hotter and the solder worked fine, and it went back to mildly burining my hand like normal.

So, the question really is....why???
