Here's another question regarding the LED then... how would I wire it to a 3PDT if I wanted just to scrap the on/off LED?  and then also, would it work to wire two LEDs to the same spot on the 3PDT so one is turned on from the source power and the other pulses from the "board power".

Now, instead of running a wire from +9V, take the top wire from the Tonepad layout there. Omit the resistor, connect the cathode of the LED to the bottom LED pad on your board, not to ground.
