I was wondering what is out there with DIY'ers making their own or finding a jewel beneath the hay stack once in a while.
Are we all slave to the 1590BB?
What slopes behind the bushes?
What happende to the Hair-force one boxes, btw?

Check Mick Farlow's enclosures!

He has a gallery here.

I have had these custom made by Mick. The reason people opt for hammond style enclosures is because they are cheap and do the job reasonably well.

Having these hand made, bent, welded and shipped cost me much more than I can get a comparatively sized hammond style enclosure.

But, then again I love Micks work and for what they are and what goes in to making them on Micks part they are an absolute steal.

Here they are at various stages of construction.

His attention to detail and passion for doing this is admirable.

The difference of stages between the first shot and the last is remarkable. Those look great, they've got that Maxon AD-999 enclosure vibe happening.

The French connection

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

Who makes that TS-11 enclosure?  That looks like it might be perfect for a project I'm working on...

Hehe, that's a prototype. The final enclosure is actually a little different with less of a curve on the bacl corners. I'm also gilding the final pedals in 24 carat gold leaf and silk screening them myself.

I'm hoping that will be enough to impress.

it's becoming very hard to impress people around here. :p just take a look at the pictures thread. the overall quality of the builds and finishes around here is really nice.

Wow, like them.
especially TS-1 and TS-11. What did you pay? How to get them to Europe?
TS 11 looks very EH style, TS 1 would be nice to put knobs at the wide back plate instead of on top.

I just ran into these in one of their distrubutor's shop (Marutsu) when I was in Japan. As far as I can remember, I think I got the TS-1 at around 700+ Yen and the TS-11 at around 800+ Yen.

Below is the link to the shop's website. I don't know if they accept international orders as their website is in Japanese. Maybe you could try to e-mail and ask them.

Those look nice. I like the TS11. Maybe Small Bear Elec could work out a distribution deal...

Oh yeah, why not!
"Banzai" and "musikding" in Europe must follow then!  ;D

TS-11 is a dream for electro-harmonix-style projects.
TS-1 is a cool box for "double stomp - double circuits" projects. (fulldrive, double FF, ao...)

TS-1s is small, but a FF could fit in nicely. never forget those succesful 1590A's!!

That woodworking is superb!

Awesome job John!

Thanks for the nod Mick.
Nothing a lot of sanding or snake skin can't make look good :icon_lol:

Just think of the things you'd get done without a day job.

Thanks for the pics and ideas! Once I get moved and I know how much room I have for more stuff, I will look into this. Realize that bringing in anything in from Japan would require a minimum order large enough to justify a space in a shipping container.
