Hi all -

Got a lot of 2n1307's in recently that were not TI's as expected, but marked "Trans Tek U.S.A". Anyone seen these/familiar with this company? A web search returns a company in CT that's been around for 30 years. I'm wondering if these are legit transistors, or yet another odd imported knock off. They test ok. Good gains (perhaps a little higher on average than expected), and low leakage when using the Peak meter. Haven't built anything with them yet, but I'm hopeful they'll work out for the fuzz circuit I have in mind.

Thanks -

I've bought a lot of 2N1307 recently.

They are marked KRC.

There is any way to know how old are them? I tried google with no result...

On 100 of them i selected 30 with real gain between 80 and 140. Not bad for the price i've paid.

I swapped them in my fuzz face and in my fuzz factory... Quite good to my ears, only not much highs as i like but maybe i'll do some more tweaking with the resistors to make them sound best.
