Hey finished up my colorsound power boost clone using a layout similar to this but same components

it really sounds great,I used BC109s. The amount of gain, volume etc are all spot on. but it seems like i have to keep the treble way up for it not to sound like theres a blanket over my amp...real dull, and its kinda bassy. I know this pedal is supposed to sound like that, but why the lack of treble?

I checked and rechecked all component values and they are spot on. The only thing im wondering about, i used a silver mica for the 500pf cap... is that right/ok? This is the part #....

any help would be great!

i also built this a while back and wasn't wowed by the results.

  SonicVI is right on.
Changing a LP capacitor value will have a noticable effect for sure, changing capacitor material might not even be noticable, LP filter[s? can make a dull sound.
I'm guessing where the 500pf goes makes it a large-ish LP value.
Mazes turn me off, schematics turn me on, see if you can find any more LP filters.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

sonic, your talkin about changin the 500 to 220 right? I will definitely try that. I love the pedal other than that...
