Expression-Pedal Mod: (replace the "Range"-pot with a rocker-pedal for foot- instead of manual control):

lift wiper of stock-pot out of PCB (now de-functioned...);

connect wiper of exp.-pedal (100k) to that now empty solder-pad on the PCB;
connect 1 outer lug of exp.-pedal-pot to the clockwise outer lug of stock-pot.
(Pedal-pot must not be connected to gnd!)

(might not give the whole range, esp. in the lowest frequencies).

Noise-Reduction Mod:
1.: put a 100nF cap in parallel with D3/C18;
2.: put a 100nF from input to gnd of U2 (7815) right at the chip`s solderpads;
3.: replace all 1M resistors with metalfilm ones...;
4.: replace all other resistors >220k with metalfilms...

check after each of above steps, whether S/N has improved...

I think we need a new website:  www.tonsmodz.com!

;D

How 'bout some modz for my tube Black Finger?

Any mods to give the Worm a little more "Umph"? Particularly the trem and the vibe. I find much of the settings a little too subtle for my taste (but I've never been known for my subtlety ::) ). Also, any suggestions for mods to add greater control of the effects?

Bumping an old post...

As we all know the old big box version has been discontinued.... but the smaller version still has an awefull lot of noise with it (EHX should really do something about that...)

Any chance these noise-reduction tricks still work for the newer version?! (maybe a silly question, but better ask before destroying my pedal)
