HI
There is a lot of interesting schematics an projects around subminis floating around at the moment. It has fired up my interest in building a "frequencycentral Murder one" or some thing in the neighborhood. Although I will call it "forensic too" ;D
The trouble is that my normal local supplyer do not carry subminis. Where, preferebly in Europa, can i get them from. I know this been up before but i can't find the answer when I search in here, Thx

Andi

There are some on Ebay from a Netherlands seller.

Cardboard Tube Samurai

I purchased mine off an ebay seller in the U.S. as it was still cheaper than trying to source them here in Australia. Look for ebay user w.e.s.-1 or just search ebay.com for 6111 tubes and buy the ones that guy sells

CTS if you want someone to split the shipping costs to Aus with I'd be interested in getting a couple of those as well. Obviously I'd pay the extra shipping from Bris to Melb.

25!!

They are still on his webpage. The 6088's are 10mw output compared to the 65mw output of the 5672.

~arph - Where do you live? Where do you keep your tubes? And what time will you be out?

 ;D

I have about thirty 5672's and eight 6088 laying around.. come on, they were only one euro each!

I'll soon be posting a 5672 , GT313A (of which I have a box of 100) boost. This was inspired by your murder one..

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out where I live.. I have posted that info here before.

He still has them, cause I bought some about 2 weeks ago, got some 6088's en 6418's as well, you might have seen my post on the newtone forum ;) (Ik heet goeiemorguh daar ;)) Anyway, I'm looking forward seeing your 5672 project.

Bts, does anyone have some usefull information on how to use them? I was kinda confused when I realised it had no cathode :P I read something about old tubes using the filament as a cathode, so I guess the grid bias thingy is always at -1.25V? (I should study some more documents on tubes I guess ::))

The cathode is internally connected to pin 5 I believe, so it is at GND, but this is from the top of my head, just google on pentodes.

Grid 3 is internally connected to pin 3 (the filament +ve). Here's the data sheet: http://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/127/5/5672.pdf
