hi evryone,

i was planning to add a 9v dc jack (boss style) to my vintage Thomas Organ Cry Baby Wah.
I tried several grounding connections but i always had a big hum when the effect was on.
I modded the pedal to true bypass using this wiring scheme:

here's a big pic of my last attemp

basically i grounded the input and the pot lug to the output sleeve and connected it to the ground pad on the board. i connected the ground from the dc power to the same ground pad on the board...still a humming wah

any help?
cheers

doug deeper

you need some power supply filtering, or if its going to be on a pedalboard powered my a daisy chain your other pedals will solve the problem.
(ive done the same thing to my thomas organ wah and can relate to the massive HUMMMMMMMMM!)

hi doug and thanks for the info.
however, i still think the problem is related to the ground connections.
is there a better/suggested way to add an external dc power to an old vintage wah?

cheers
