OK- so I wanted to build the Univibe but after thinking I bought all that was needed from smallbear according to RG's part list I realized these were not a part of my order since they had no part number.

Can These parts be found locally? Radioshack?  Socket For Univibe Lamp

Sorry to mislead you. But I didn't use a socket; the bulb was on lead wires and soldered in. That's why I didn't list a socket.  :icon_biggrin:

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Do bear in mind that R.G. did the article years before I had sourced all the OEM parts. RS has a few wire-lead lamps ranging from 1.5 volt to 12 volt that are known to work with proper adjustment of the bias.

Also, bear in mind the original Shin-Ei "Uni-vibe" didn't use screw-base lamps either (or lamp sockets) so you should be ok without them too:
