"on-board" transistor switching (for fuzzface etc.) idea (layout inside)

I made one pedal using the beavis method of tranny switiching (mount emitter and collector on switch then do a "dead bug" like joint for the base), but that method doesn't lend itself to tranny swapping using pins. What I want are transistors that sit entirely in a socket, on the circuit board, so I can change my bank of transistors - so I devised this way of mounting the transistors. Will this work? will all the extra lead material in higain circuits encourage noise? is there a better way to do this?

thanks! hope you find it useful.

oh ps, apologies to Andrew Carrell for the 69' layout

If it is high gain, I'd really try to avoid the long lead lengths. A possibly better option is to glue sockets directly to the switch, that's what I typically do....

Hope that helps...
