Hello All,
I'm looking for shielded cable which is small and easy to work with. I'm currious to know what you prefer working with and where you get it....(2wire + shield or 4wire + shield?)

hello.

i use Belden 22ga 2+shield and I like it a lot, not too expensive. You can get it in 4+shield too. Hope this helps.

I think its $20 on mouser for 100 ft of 2+, and like 38 for 100ft of 4+

Hello,
I've bought shielded Teflon wire here. http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/Johns-Silver-Teflon-Wire-Shop_Shielded-Wire-Coax_W0QQ_fsubZ3966787QQ_sidZ155009QQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em322
Teflon is the way to go, no worries about creating a short between the shield and conductor while soldering things up. Has it in multiple conductor versions as well.

Another source you might try for Teflon (PTFE) shielded wire is Apex Jr. . http://www.apexjr.com/wire.html

I use 22 gauge 4-conductor stranded shielded wire from Home Depot.  It has the 4 conductors (I use three for pots) plus a bare ground wire and a foil shield.  They call it "security" wire, and sell it by the foot or in large spools.

Got any stereo RCA cables? The kind that came with your last CD or DVD player???

It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.

Good call. Cheap, junky RCA cables are available 24Hrs a day in Walmarts, etc, and are flexible. If junky.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Also headphone cables.  Got a set of cheap earbuds you're not using?

Only thing to watch out for with earbuds is that some use conductive plastic as the shield... and it has no drain wire so you can't solder to it
