hi i'm going to build a tremolus lune, but a have com across two shcematics:

Common sound:
http://www.commonsound.com/kits/doku.php?id=commonsound:tremulus

and Tonepad:
http://www.tonepad.com/getFileInfo.asp?id=84

The common sound parts list specifies a CdS cell 5k light, 500k dark, i guess Cds is the same as LDR, Tonepad doesn't specify.
I've got two LDR's, one 70ohm light, 1M dark, and a 150ohm light, over 200M dark, my multimeter reaches up to 200M and this is offscale.
Wich should i use?

I think i'll go with the symmetri pot in stead of the fine pot, unless it might be possible to have both (i like knobs). I've also seen a schematic (don't remember where) where symmetry pot was replaced by a on-off-on switch.

And the Commonsound has a gain pot

The commonsound parts list specifies:

Quote<5k light, >500k dark

The < means "less than" and the > means "greater than"

Both of your LDRs (yes an LDR is a CDS cell) are suitable because both measure less than 5K with light and greater than 500K when dark.  It would be worth trying each to see which will sound best.

It's normal to find a large difference in resistance between supposedly identical LDRs.
