Swell Circuit vero layout

Here is a vero layout of the Anthony Leo fuzz with a couple minor tweaks from Justin Philpott. This vero is verified.
This works best with a high output fuzz with octave capabilities (Foxx Tone Machine, Ampeg Scrambler, Fuzz Factory works too!) into a tube amp.
Both trannies are 2N3904. The Electro cap is 10u.

This circui looks and sounds really cool! But, I thought the Leo Fuzz was actually a fuzz and not a swell effect. Is your circuit from this schematic: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=70851.0

So THAT is what the Peachy Fuzz comes from.
This is the swell circuit from the Prescription Electronics Experience pedal. I guess they are the same thing.
From R.G "The swell circuit is the same as a distortion circuit published in Popular Electronics in the 60's by Anthony Leo. The way this works is that the swell circuit is DC coupled, and the biasing is such that in the absence of a signal, it it cut off. Putting in a signal makes its DC bias point shift and a very distorted signal appears to slowly increase as the bias shifts."

YES the original is foot pedal, and every time you need to swell you need to press the foot pedal all the time, that's why i change to a metal pick, now you can do whatever you want slow or speed defends to your pick how quick you hit the strings. you can do longer delay swell while your pick stay on the string.

what is the schem that you used?

it's different from this schem right ? or are my eyes going out on me (completely possible)

I used this with a 10uF cap in place of the .47, like the link you posted.
There are some different resistor values between the two as well, not sure what the difference would be......

My only beef with this is, for the fuzz that is in front of it to swell, it has to be up pretty loud meaning I'd have to change settings all the time. Maybe there's a way to switch the swell circuit on and have it simultaneously take a different volume level from the fuzz?

if it's just volume then you could probably tack a gain stage on the front end of the swell circuit and just dial that in to correspond with whatever fuzz you're running before it

I tried a LPB in front of the swell circuit and it actually cut off the swell effect, giving a really compressed fuzz tone instead. Strange.
I'll keep at it though.

Does this have to have fuzz before it? Will it stand alone like a slow gear kinda thing?

I only seems to work with loud, high gain octave devices.
the Foxx Tone Machine of course and even the Fuzz Factory! The Ampeg Scrambler to a lesser degree as well.
