LEFT Crybaby: just with TBP, everything is original
RIGHT Crybaby: buffer removed, Red fasel, low gain transistores, Gain and mids resistors.... etc....etc..

any BCXXX type with 300Hfe or little higher.....

I have to agree with everyone, the "heavy modded" wah pedal has more character to the sound.

With heavy distortion tones, I actually prefer "muddier" sounding wah pedals because they don't make the guitar sound too harsh with all of the harmonics flying around.

with BCXXX or 2N5088 (or 2N5089) with 450 Hfe it will get a little more "unclear" and a little better for some distortios, although with the sweep cap modded to 0.022uF (instead of 0.01uF) it will work very good for distortion.
