Stage Center Reverb power switch

I recently built the stage center reverb pedal, and I'm now going back to try some of the mods and tweaks.

I realized I omitted the recommended power switch as vaguely depicted in this wiring diagram: http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/stage_center_reverb_lo2.gif

There is an indication to "insert power switch" between the negative lead of battery 1 and the positive of battery 2, to prevent the annoying battery drain.

I'm a pretty "visual" person when it comes to the wiring diagrams, I'd like to make sure I'm proceeding correctly .Can someone please help this semi-noob implement a switch here - with more clear instruction? What type of switch and how to insert in such a way that the battery leads then find their way back to the necessary pads on the pcb?

Thanks!

The diagram indicates you need to interrupt both the red and the blue wires because it is a bipolar supply so you would need a DPST (double-pole single throw switch) to disconnect both wires at the same time. Just wire from D1 to the switch for the red (positive wire)  and from the adjacent pole to the positive connector on the battery. For the light blue wire, connect D2 to the other side of the switch and then the adjacent pole on the switch to the negative connector on the other battery.

D1 - red ---------------------------o|o-------------------------------  battery +
                                     -------------
D2 - blue --------------------------o|o------------------------------- battery  -

Thank you. That's totally helpful!
