tonepad phase 90, easy help needed.

Hi, built this phaser and after matching fets , tuning etc it's fandabbydosey.

Anyway, got to show my noobyness by asking for help with a a small mod.

I wanted to put a level pot on, i I wired the left of the top resistor to lug 3, used 2 as out and 1 to ground. It's just working as an on/off pot though.

Can someone recommened the best way to wire this for a volume pot?

Why is my mod only acting as an on off?
