Is anyone familiar with the LM 398 and it's applications?

I've had the LM 398 recommended to me to use as a sample & hold - on another site. Has anybody any schematics which use this chip?

LM or LF?

There must be dozens of ways to use a S&H. And since LF398 seems to be obsolete, it may not be your best tool, whatever you are doing with a S&H.

LF398 datasheet shows 5 pages of applications, plus a complete gut-plan.

The LF398 is not obsolete, at least last time I called National and checked about a year or so ago. It's a great little IC and is very easy to implement.
