22/7 and valvecaster combo questions
« on: February 08, 2010, 01:52:35 AM »

I love the 22/7 into vc (nice fat sound) and was thinking of putting them in one box. They'll both be on the one switch (no point switching one or the other for the sound i want). I'm wondering if it would be ok to leave the volume off the 22/7 and have it run at full into the vc and use its volume as a master, or should i use a trim pot to fix the output? I'm was also going to run them off the same ps as the ones i have are 9vdc 1amp. Will this be enough?

I would put in the 22/7 volume control.
It would be a good thing to vary the amount
of volume into the valvecaster. If it's too hot
into the VC then it's going to get ugly possibly.

You can always test it out of the box with
a volume pot and then decide and put in a
fixed resistor(s) if it turns out you like it one
volume level only.
