Orientation of Perf/PCB in enclosure

I have noticed that many people seem to mount their perfboards/PCBs in the enclosure with the solder side facing the bottom. I wonder if their is some advantage to this method that I am unaware of?
I have been using double-sided foam tape on the solder side of my boards and affixing it to the inside of the top part of the enclosure. I thought this worked well since I can see the components, including any trimpots that are part of the circuit.

As far as I'm aware, it's all personal preference and use of available space. I've done both methods and mounted the PCB on the back lid as well with no problems.

That's my favorite, as far as serviceability.  It means long service loops in the wires up to the pot/switches, but when you take off the bottom lid, boom, everything you need to get to is there.

For me its easier that way as it follows the schematic flow of left to right...
My stuff is kinda funny in that I just transfer the schematic to perf 90% of the time.
Also doing it that way it still has the input on the(right) output on the(left) ,when you flip it back over.
For someone with more experience I wouldnt think it matters how you mount the PCB/perf as long as the circuit doesnt oscillate.
You can do it any way you want if it works right.
