I've been through the Clari(not) thread(s) a couple of times and there's a fair amount of iterations and project files now- original, cubed, with LFO, without LFO, with fuzz lift, no envelope, etc.

They all seem to be vero and perf- has anyone made a pcb etch image/pnp yet and if so- which version is it ?

the threads have gotten really big so this "clari" fication (doh!!) would be helpful ...thanks

I'm sure I saw  a PCB/PNP for the stock Clari, but might not have been on this site. I could easily convert my perf layouts to PCB if it helps. Which Clari did you want to build?

Thanks Rick! the Cubed looks the most appealing- d'you think PCB image will be useful to others as well?!? My perfing has tended to be pretty rough unfortunately...

If you can do a PCB version I'll build it! I have some extra 2399's asking to be used in a project...

I'm happy enough to convert the perf to PCB, but a couple of thoughts occur to me. My layouts includes a 'pot board' with the LED, LDR and a couple of other components onboard. Should I lay it out so it's all on one board with the connections for the pots are all along the same side of the board (this would mean a bigger board)? I also designed my board for the tiny caps I use, should I make the board suitable for more standard cap sizes? I've noticed a couple of people have built versions with a switch to toggle between LFO and ENV mod - did anyone work out a fix so the ENV mod works with the fuzz lifted? Anything else I've overlooked? If I'm gonna do it, it might as well be definative.......

Rick:

re: pots: I use non board mounting pots (panel mount pots) so I would probably just use connection wire for those- slow as that is. So in that case, leave those off the PCB, but provide a diagram view of the connections as wired. If I did decide to do those, I could probably perf those- its not as complex as the main board. By leaving those off the PCB you give people the option of how to do their pots. A little pot to pot wiring never hurt anyone  :)

One way to accommodate both large and small caps is to include more than one pad on one side of the component. I see this on a fair number of boards, there will be two pads connected so that if you have a tiny box cap you can use one pad and if you have one with a wider footprint you can use the one next to it. However I've never measured the typical difference-distance between the two pads. It's more drilling if you offer this. But convenient.

I wasn't aware of the envelope/LFO switch mod...!

There's this one. Hasn't been verified as far as I can tell, but I'm gonna give it a try over the next couple of weeks:
