Hey guys, I'm really keen to do this build but perf is too intimidating (plus i suck at it, currently) so i want to do a vero build.  Does anyone have this layout for vero?  I've looked and looked, i can't find a thing, other than misty rumours about the elusive 'torchy' who seems to be awesome at vero but doesn't have his layouts on here anymore (or something).

I heard his layouts used to be hosted on indyguitarist but i couldn't find them...wampcat?  any links for an eager noob?   :icon_confused:  maybe others would like this layout too?

cheers anyhoo.  man i can't wait till i afford all the stuff for etching...i'm partway there  :)  just need copperclad, press n peel and a lazer printer   :o   $$$$
anyway i looked at that vero version, and read a different post about someone getting squeal with it...so i might double-space my vero when i eventually do it i think.
now if i could only find a cool second hand enclosure... :)

hi man..i dont use press n peel..its way to expensive....i use crappy photo gloss with a laser toner image...
it seems the crappier the quality paper the better it is....i get mine from a pound shop...dunno whether you guys have them in NZ...
but its way cheaper and just as good...might save yaself a few quid/dollars/...

i prefer etching...it seems the stched projects are morwe likely to work..rather than some of the rushed vero's....
just my thoughts.........ok man!.

Try printing to glossy paper from those ads which keep filling your mailbox. You might save a dollar or pound more.

Just print the image to glossy paper with laser printer and iron it to whatever you like.

ah ok.  is there a way of doing it with an inkjet printer?
"Hows are we's?  We's in the f*cking middle of a dinners meal!  Dats hows we am!" - Skwisgaar Skwigelf

Brymus

NO the laser printer uses a polycarbonate (plastic like) toner which resists the ferric chloride or persulfate ,which ever you use...
Hence the name: toner transfer resist etch method.
Inkjet uses die or pygments in solvent which wont resist the etchant.
I bought a new laser printer for 50$ US ,should be able to find a used one for much less, just google the brand to see if it works for etching.
The Samsung seems to get good reports for etching so thats what I got.
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D

hey if your lookin for a laser printer these are just about the cheapest around and they work for toner transfer http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Samsung-ML-1640-Mono-Laser-Printer/3988684/ cheaper here in oz than over there but still cheap.
