Switchable Octave...

I've built a PushMe PullYou and love it, but in playing I discovered that if I bypass the NPN transistor, I get more or less the same fuzz without the octave...for some reason (without having the pedal in front of me) I can't think of how I would connect a switch to bypass the transistor to just have a fuzz option on the pedal...Maybe even foot-switchable? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated!
