I just built a Tonebender MKII on perfboard with a matched set of germanium transistors from small bear.

Q3's collector is at 4.9V

The pedal sounds good but I was wondering how much of a difference it would make to put a 20k trimpot in place of the 8.2k resistor to get the voltage down to 4.5V.

I really dont want to mess with the perfboard anymore but will if the difference is large.

IMO a .4V change isnt worth the effort.
I actually like the V a little higher than th3e recommended half > YMMV
You could always braedboard the circuit and see for your self VS modding your perf job.
I'm no EE or even a tech, just a monkey with a soldering iron that can read, and follow instructions. ;D
