I'm fairly new to pedal mods and needed a little help on a project. I own a Vox V830 Distortion Booster that has great distortion but it kills the bass in my signal and can get too trebley/fizzy when the drive or tone is turned high. I want to get the pedal to stop cutting bass (or even boost it a bit) and to mellow out the high end when the drive or tone get turned up. Here is the schematic that I found

Any ideas?

I should note that I did add an extra capacitor to C4 which is parallel to D1 and D2. It mellowed out the tone a bit but it didn't increase the bass and ended up begin a bit more muffled than i would have liked. Any other suggestions?
