Has anybody seen the schematic for the Strobostomp 2?  I haven't opened mine up yet so this may be simple.

So I wanted to use it to spit the signal at the beginning of my chain, so I hook the 1/4" up normally everything works great.  I make a cable to tap the DI out, as suggested in their own manual and the output is weak.  Checked my cable to make sure I wired it right and all the other normal stuff.

I found the strobostomp forum and there is a post with a quote from their engineer saying that the DI output is Half the input amplitude!  Now I'm no stranger to DI boxes and I do expect some attenuation, but this seems excessive to me especially when they suggest exactly what I did in their own manual.  I have a passive DOD DI that has less attenuation.

So far it seems my options are:

1. Give up and go back to my old splitter that takes up unnecessary real estate
2. Build a simple boost, again real estate
3. Up the gain on the DI output

Just to head it off, I work under a microscope all day building amps with tweezers, I'm not afraid of some SMD.

New and exciting innovations in current technology!
